Abstract [en]

Welcome to the Swedish countryside!

In Sweden everyone is free to spend time inthe forest and fields and to pick wild berries such as blueberries, lingonberries and cloudberries. We call this the right of public access. But this freedom requires that we be careful to not disturb local residents, others engagedin outdoor activities or animals. Nor may we damage nature or property owned by others. We can sum this up with the phrase ”Don’tdisturb – don’t destroy”. As a berry-picker in Sweden you will find it very useful to know some important rules:
