Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

Environmental Objectives Goals related to waste management is partly as a milestone in the Swedish national environmental objectives, as well as targets in the EU Waste Directive. The Swed-ish objectives include; biological treatment of food waste, overall recycling rates for household waste and phosphorus recycling. The objectives of the Waste Direc-tive concern recycling of household waste and construction and demolition waste. In this report, these objectives and how waste statistics gathering can be adjusted to follow up these objectives have been screened. The conclusion is that information can be provided by waste statistics, but to some specific data may be collected depending on which calculation method you choose. Data on phosphorus recycling should preferably be collected in connection with the monitoring of sludge direc-tive and not related to waste classification
